About Us

Hi! We're Natalie and Hai, a husband and wife team that loves to eat instant noodles. We currently reside in Sydney Australia and we've been eating instant noodles for over twenty years.
We coined the phrase "It's Noodle Time" for a time where Hai will stay up late at night due to his shift-work and cook a bowl of instant noodles for his dinner while I slept for my 9-5 office job. Hai would then wake me up in the middle of the night so I can eat some of his meal (he often let me have the first taste) and I would sleepily eat a few bites of instant noodles before I went back to sleep. It is a very comforting thing to go back to sleep with a belly full of warm soup.
Hai is convinced he could whisper the phrase "its noodle time" and I'd instantly wake up without fail. I like to say otherwise.
It has become something we do so regularly that Hai has included it in his wedding vows to me to always wake me up for "Noodle Time".
Fast forward two years and a honeymoon holiday to Japan we decided to create this blog to document our Noodle adventures. We hope you enjoy and can share our love for all types of delicious noodles.

How we rate our Noodles:
We will write as honestly as we can and we are open-minded about any food we try!
When eating noodles, we will take notes on flavour, seasonings, spiciness, noodle texture and servings and try to include as much information as we can. We try to include photos of the packaging, seasoning packets and what noodles look like uncooked and cooked. We want everyone to experience what we taste, see and smell!
Each post will include some quick facts, a small backstory, experience, conclusion and ratings (our of 5) and if we added any extra ingredients/toppings to our meal. We've decided to keep Cup Noodles as simple as we can and not add anything to it as these foods are bought from a Convenient store and intend to be eaten as a convenient snack/meal. We will cook this with water from a kettle with instructed timing and without the use of a microwave.
With packet noodles we will either eat it as is or add toppings and ingredients to make it more exciting and to add more variety.  We love customisation as well! We usually cook packet noodles over the stove with a pot but we may cook it in a bowl with hot water from a kettle.
Either way, instant noodles are delicious and we will respect every single type we try!
